The Beginning Marks...

This is the beginning of the large painting I'm working on. Thought it might be fun to post the progress.

I think I may get addicted to painting large. Building the stretcher frame, stretching the canvas, applying the coats of gesso. Takes a lot of time, but... I kind of like it. I'll post more tomorrow!

This week I'm off to Dallas to visit a friend. I hope I to visit an artist friend while I'm there. I've already checked the weather and it is going to be hot, hot, hot!

    This one is going to be great - a celebration!
    I used to enjoy preparing the canvas too but the large ones were not always satisfactory so my hats off to you.
