This little painting has gold highlights in it, as it is part of the sub-series of golden apples. I may have to consider a little gold leafing on one of these little jewels... hmm.... this is so much fun!

Hi JanettMarie - I love all the apples, but I do believe that 60 and 61 are my favorites! I love the green in 60 and the greenish grey in 61 backgrounds. Plus the the marks around the sides of the apples - just fantastic! Also can't believe these are watermedia - are they done in acrylic?

ReplyDeleteYes, the majority of the painting (60 & 61) is acrylic. A little bit of scratching and dabbing and washing. I say aquamedia because a few places I've used Derwent Inktense pencils. Sometimes I'll throw in some "Portfolio" water soluble oil pastel... loose, very loose, like your wonderful dancers!
