"The Three Bird Abodes" acrylic on canvas 20" x 20" |
Hello! What's been going on? It's been a great Summer so far! The above painting was done at
Jane Slivka's workshop at
Cheap Joe's in Boone, NC. Great time and a lot of inspiration gained from that week! We painting two 16" by 20" paintings a day....
a day! Thanks Jane! Thanks Joe!
I don't know how many of you know, I do love to play golf. I've had my challenges this season and a few of them, well, I've done okay. Below is a photo from last weekend's State Tournament in Indiana and I won Low Net Senior! Woo hoo! Sorry Myra... no money earned, just hardware, lol!

One last note for this post. I committed to the
Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days September 2015. I've signed up in the past for this but didn't follow through.... this year I've decided to paint martini's because I should, so I will! ....and now I've said it out loud on this blog, this means... total commitment!
With that, as my nephew Victor says, "Just remember, always smile".
Enjoy your day,
-JanettMarie
Great challenge jM! Can we drink the martinis when you're done?
ReplyDeletecute pic! great painting! let the games begin!
ReplyDeleteYou've been missed Janett! Wonderful painting and love the picture!
ReplyDeleteNice painting! I like the warm underpainting peaking through. And congratulations on your golf award! We need to do lunch this month, since you will be busy daily in September. :)
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me so happy. Nice to see your pretty, smiling, trophy-holding self JanettMarie! Your birdhouse painting is super charming...how wonderful you attended the workshop. I know I enjoyed the workshop I did this summer here my hometown with Julie Ford Oliver.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the 30 day challenge! Excited to see your martinis. You do series paintings so well and funly. Wait, funly isn't a word, but you know what I mean.
xo
Love the birdhouse painting! Sounds like a great workshop.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the golf trophy. That's very cool
And I can't wait to see the martini series. Should be fun to paint ... and to drink! (Hmm, maybe I should do a chocolate series ....)
Congrats on the golf trophy!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck on the 30 in 30. I did it last year and it was an amazing experience.
