Day four and still sketching small but adding a little color. My little sketch book is like 3.5" by 5".

Sketchbook Challenge Day 3 Biscuits

 

Biscuits Day 3 

Today's prompt for the 30 sketches in 30 days challenge is "Biscuits". I don't really have any biscuits hanging around the kitchen. I thought about going to the grocery store for  biscotto's, which I love, do a sketch a biscotto and coffee (I have a little experience with coffee cups) but then I saw the dog's treats bag sitting on the counter. The bag isn't doggy treats but doggy biscuits!  

Saved by the dog! I could have sketched a treat, or treats, or the bag of treats, but that seemed a little boring. I found this smiling dog. She wanted me to practice her portrait and of course she loves biscuits! Her teeth in the photo are showing because she is so happy. Yes, I'll need to do a few more sketches of this doggy.

What better way to start a new year than to do a Sketchbook Challenge for 30 days in January. This little teapot sketch is day two... everyday I get a prompt from Susan Yeates, an artist from the UK. The prompt and accountability is helpful for this Indiana artist.
