"Second Chance" - Sold

6"x6" acrylic on panel
Do you ever start a painting and it really turns out differently than you thought? This is an example.

It was done from a still life, but the flower was leaning left, not up. I rotated the canvas when I finished the first time and it just did't look right... so I turned it and added the vessel and...
gave myself a second chance!!

Stay warm, it's January!

Love your swiping brush strokes in this. It has movement. I would say when I paint, they turn out differently than I anticipated about 90% of the time.

Very pretty. Reminds me of Lisa Daria.

Thanks you all!

Yes Carlene, quite a bit of Lisa Daria influence. I just took a workshop with her last November! I tried, but I haven't been able to keep up with the daily/morning painting. It's all good though... I'll keep it going!
