6"x6" oil on canvas panel |
Another Myra coffee cup. Maybe this is orange coffee. Do they make orange coffee?
Myra said she found this cup in her cupboard, it says "#1 Mom"... can you see it? Use your imagination now...
I'm going to let this little oil painting dry a bit more then tomorrow, I may add a glaze to get more of a shadow effect on the front side of this cup.
The handle is on the left side of this painting. Myra, are you left handed? I've noticed when I set up my coffee sup models the handle tends to be on the right, I'm right handed. Inquiring minds.....

wonderful painting! yes I am left handed - how very 'you are a genius' of you!
hey jm - here's something funny! have you seen Connie Chadwell's latest drawing? I think it is so beautiful. Anyway, what she says that she does NOT do - I have decided TO DO. On my last painting I doodled around with an ink pen until I drew a figure I liked and then I 'pasteled' the drawing on the back and transfered it over. I still could not 'duplicate' the original drawing -in paint but I like it and it was still fun. I just drew a ballerina I really like so I will try this method again. I suggest making a scan of the image first in case you mess it up like I did with 'the perfect drawing'. Let me know what you think!!
ps . . . jm I will post the drawing. Also, if I ever move to Indiana can I be a part of stultz? what if I live in Chicago? can I commute? well? can I?
I do love orange coffee. I find your paintings so fun and fresh. Lovin the coffee cups.
Yes, Myra, I agree, make a scan first so the original stays intact! You can also make it smaller or larger to fit your canvas! I do it. I haven't lately but I think I should. You are the genius today!
If you move to Indiana, we can share a studio at the Stutz and we would have so much fun! Painting and creating and talking about art! You can be part of our "Princess" network! I vote you in now! I'll let Leigh know!
Orange coffee, I have to have some! Thanks Angela!
